About Zion Orphanage
Founded in 1899, Zion Orphanage is the world's oldest continuously running Jewish orphanage. We provide more than 200 orphaned, homeless and disadvantaged children and youth, ages 3-22, with the highest standards of a warm, stable environment – driven by our belief in the greatness of every human being.Click here to learn more
Zion boys come to the orphanage from difficult backgrounds – family dysfunction, death of a parent, abuse. They are often plagued by frustrations, fears and low self-esteem.
That's why our acclaimed Zion Counseling Center - professional psychologists, social workers and therapists - is so key to a successful turnaround for Zion boys.
With the number of boys in our care increasing, we urgently need to expand our counseling facilities to include: additional psychiatric social workers; an additional child psychologist; additional space for evaluating and counseling the children; larger meeting room for staff consultations; and additional space to host the children's guardians.
