About Zion Orphanage

Founded in 1899, Zion Orphanage is the world's oldest continuously running Jewish orphanage. We provide 180 disadvantaged and homeless youth, ages 8-22, with the highest standards of a warm, stable environment – driven by our belief in the greatness of every human being.

Our one-acre campus in the heart of Jerusalem is undergoing major renovations, to upgrade our services, and provide hundreds of disadvantaged and homeless youth with a second chance to reach their potential.
The Zion Blumental Zion Orphanage is a registered seif 46 tax-deductible charity in Israel and a non-profit recognized as tax-exempt by the IRS under Section 501(c)(3). Donations are tax-deductible in the U.S., Canada, UK and Israel.

New Residence Units

As Zion Orphanage expands, we are building an entire new floor in our main facility, with five space-efficient family units, providing comfortable housing for 60 boys.

Torah Academy

At the Zion Orphanage Torah Academy, disadvantaged boys gain the skills, awareness, and self-confidence to pay forward your kindness and generosity. 

This gleaming edifice, in the great Jerusalem tradition, provides 250 boys with the opportunity to thrive. Because every child deserves a second chance.
